airasia grocer speaks at Institut Koperasi Malaysia (Sarawak)

"in any business, the value chain a.k.a ecosystem is important in ensuring the sustainability of your business today. Your business will be more competitive and resilient through value chain empowerment. The value chain in business refers to the concept of interdependence among each other in the business ecosystem that leads to business sustainability to continue to remain relevant and competitive in the industry."

Earlier this week, airasia grocer had been invited as guest speakers by Institut Koperasi Malaysia (Sarawak) to share key insights on Cooperative Opportunities with respect to the Transformation of the Agribiz Value Chain.

Haida (Head of Partnerships) enlightened the audience on how cooperations, whether small or medium size, can find opportunities for their businesses within the agribiz value chain - by unlocking global opportunities via airasia's vast network of flights. To further strenghten her message, Haida spoke about products that airasia grocer has succesfully exported out of Malaysia to international markets such as the famed Harumanis mangoes into Singaporean market, Frozen satay to Hong Kong market and many more.

In a separate session, Murain (Head of Commercial) shared some of the interesting experiences that airasia grocer has had as a food supply organization handling sourcing, logistics and quality assurance since the day we began operating. This sharing session was inspiring as Murain showed the attendees how airasia grocer started out with humble beginnings, operating from a conventional office space and making progress by operating from a full-fledge warehouse just 2 years later.

Other speakers who were also at the seminar were Jefferson Gubak, Principal Assistant Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security and Asmawi Awang, Head of Operations, Felcra Niaga Sdn Bhd. who complemented the session with their respective knowledge sharings such as how cooperatives can keep a lookout for opportunities with help from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security.

We would like to extend our gratitude to Institut Koperasi Malaysia (Sarawak) for inviting us to share our experiences to budding cooperations and industry players with the same vision in growing Sarawak's Agribiz value chain and trading space.
